The Foundations of the processes is the National occupational standards under the Qualification Credit Frame work at level 5, developed with the UK industry (Manufacturing, Client organisations, Engineering Construction etc) under the leadership of ECITB and assisted closely by ACostE.
Qualifications can cross boundaries - NOTE: QCDA no longer provides a general enquiry function. Please contact the Department for Education.

These standards are owned by the UK government under Your skills.com, and are in the public domain.
The level 5 standards are our starting point and are used to close gaps up to and including the incorporated status. Beyond level 5 the standards that were rated at level 6 are being used as differentiators to underpin the step to Certified/Chartered levels. In one case we have enhanced the standards to meet this higher requirement.
In addition the whole process is benchmarked against the Engineering Councils requirements for the following status: Eng Tech, I Eng and C Eng.
The Accreditation board will satisfy itself you are operating at:
Eng tech level in the Cost Engineering related skills to award Enrolled status
Incorporated level in the Cost Engineering related skills to award Incorporated status
Chartered level in the Cost Engineering related skills to award Certified Professional status
