The "Project Controls Online Community" is jointly operated by the Association of Cost Engineers and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). Its purpose is to advance the knowledge and understanding of Project Controls.

It is for those, with responsibilities at all levels, for the:

  • Control of resources and costs

  • Construction

    • Its Vision is to:

  • Promote sharing and understanding of techniques and knowledge associated with Project Controls and its methodologies, for the benefit of the IET and ACostE members, potential members and the wider community.
  • To provide services to enable community members to advance in, and to promote the application of, scientific principles and techniques in the disciplines of Estimating; Monitoring Controlling, Forecasting and Reporting Costs, Resources & Logistics; Planning and Scheduling Risk Management; Investment Appraisal and Profitability of Engineering Activities, Products and Projects.

    • Together these comprise the overall function of Cost Engineering.
